Stephen Peterson is a senior wildlife ecologist and project manager in the San Francisco Bay Area office. He has more than a decade of ecological experience. Stephen works on projects in the San Francisco Bay Area and writes biological resource assessments to support CEQA compliance. His survey experience with special-status wildlife species includes the burrowing owl, long-billed curlew, snowy plover, golden eagle, San Joaquin kit fox, California red-legged frog and California tiger salamander. He is highly skilled in avian capture and banding techniques for a variety of passerine, waterfowl, and waterbird species. As an FAA fully licensed and certified small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS) remote pilot, he serves as the firm’s sUAS pilot and subject matter expert for a variety of aerial imagery services.
Stephen has an M.S. and B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Utah State University.
