Ben Pearl, M.S.

Ben Pearl is a senior wildlife ecologist and project manager in the wildlife ecology group in our San Francisco Bay Area office. He has more than 10 years of experience working in San Francisco Bay and Monterey Bay tidal marshes, managed wetlands, uplands habitats, and sandy beaches. His expertise is in general avian ecology, with a specialty in shorebird and seabird ecology. A recognized western snowy plover expert, Ben has performed snowy plover surveys for federal, state, and local agencies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Additionally, he has conducted surveys and monitoring for other special-status species, including the California least tern. Ben contributes his knowledge in marsh and wetland bird ecology and special-status species to a variety of environmental documents and projects.

Ben received an M.S. in Environmental Studies from San Jose State University and a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
